Past Intensives

We held our first summer intensive on Dependency Theory in 2018 in Valemount.

In 2019, we held two summer intensives, Anthropologicon in Harrison Mills and Rent and Empire on Cortes Island.

In 2021, we ended our intensives program with Disinhabitation and the Invention of Landscape in Harrison Mills. The The Commissar Class: From Inquisitor to Executive Director sadly could not be delivered before our president relocated to Africa.

Each of our intensives was taught or co-taught by our president, Stuart Parker, an experienced instructor, who has held teaching and research appointments at The University of Toronto, University of BC, Fraser Valley University, Thompson Rivers University, York University, Brigham Young University,  Simon Fraser University and the University of Northern BC.
